Meteorite hits Bat Yam Beach

Mah Karah?

Make sure to watch with the sound on, and hear the reactions of the people on the beach.

Eizeh Ketah!

(Is it real? The point is listening to the people talking.)

A mereorite of that size, with its hypervelocity and large momentum, would produce a visible impact crater.

I doubt that this was a meteorite.

I like how they all just stand around discussing this while the thing burns up the beach.

You're right. And where's the impact crater?

Here's a fake in another country: http://www.thetechherald.com/article.php/200944/4684/Video-Amazing-meteorite-footage-thought-to-be-student-prank

Did someone throw some burning plastic or chemicals onto the beach?

I'm sure we'll hear more in the next day or so.

But the reason I posted it is because of the comments of the people standing around it.

On IDF Radio's 9 AM news this morning, they stated that the object was still burning, 24 hours after being "discovered" on the beach.
